Rana F. Sweis
Rana F. Sweis is the founder and managing director of WishBox Media, a company that provides media training, research services and creative storytelling packages. She is also a freelance journalist and media researcher. Her work has been published in the New York Times, Prospect Magazine, The Huffington Post and other media outlets. Her book, Voices of Jordan, provides a compelling collage of contemporary Jordanian narratives.
Rana often reports on political reform and development in Jordan, Syrian refugees, the changing media landscape and cultural issues.
Rana founded WishBox Media in 2018 offering media training, research services and creative storytelling packages.
Teaching and training
Rana is a media coach with WAN-IFRA & a media trainer. For two years she was a journalism instructor at Yarmouk University.
Digital Media Research
Rana led the Open Society institute-sponsored Mapping Digital Media Study for Jordan.
Rana holds an MA from the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University and a BA in Journalism from Hofstra University.
