Rana F. Sweis
Rana F. Sweis is a freelance journalist and media researcher. Her work has been published in the New York Times, The Huffington Post and other media outlets. She is currently working on completing the manuscript for Voices of Jordan, an interview-based, journalistic book dedicated to providing a compelling collage of contemporary Jordanian narratives.

Rana led the Open Society institute-sponsored Mapping Digital Media Study for Jordan.
Teaching and training
Rana is a media coach and conducts media trainings regularly. For two years she was a journalism instructor at Yarmouk University.
Rana often reports on political reform and development in Jordan, Syrian refugees, the changing media landscape and cultural issues.
On the executive committee of Leaders of Tomorrow, a youth-led organization in Jordan that works on building community leaders, fostering creativity and encouraging debate.
Rana holds an MA from the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University and a BA in Journalism from Hofstra University.
